The Pediatric Providers
Mark Regnier M.D. has practiced pediatric medicine in the Fox Valley area since 1998. He is passionate about being a good listener, an effective communicator, an avid learner and an advocate for his patient’s health and well-being.
Dr. Regnier has served on Delnor Hospital’s Medical Informatics Committee (a guiding body that generates hospital wide clinical protocols) and is strongly committed to evidence-based medicine. He is also a known advocate for the Medical Home, having worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics on an initiative to establish strategies to help pediatric practices implement the Medical Home model.
Dr. Regnier was awarded Delnor Hospital’s physician of the year for patient satisfaction in 2004 and nursing satisfaction in 2005. He is also a People’s Choice Award recognized physician.
Dr. Regnier graduated from Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine in 1995 as a member of the medical honors society. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Loyola University Medical Center in 1998. He is board certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Our Practice Leadership
Kerry Regnier MPH, RD, LDN is a Registered Dietitian, with training in both pediatric and adult nutrition. She received her Master’s degree in Public Health at Northern Illinois University. Kerry has worked in a number of settings including Loyola University Medical Center, Illinois Nutrition Education and Training Program and currently at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association). She is an adjunct faculty member at Northern Illinois University where she teaches senior dietetics students.
Kerry has completed a CDR Certificate of Training in childhood and adolescent weight management. She has also received training at the Ellyn Satter Institute on “Feeding with Love and Good Sense”. She enjoys helping families navigate through the murky waters of raising competent eaters who are able to reach their own, unique potential.
As our Practice Administrator, Kerry works collaboratively with our staff to maintain a culture focused on quality, evidence-based care and customer service that strives to exceed our patient’s expectations. Kerry is passionate about overseeing Genesis Pediatric Medicines’ implementation of the medical home model where patients receive highly coordinated care shaped by direct input from parents assigned to our Parent Advisory Committee.
Kerry enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors and taking in a ball game.
The Genesis Team
Colleen works as a registered nurse (RN) at Genesis Pediatric Medicine. She has been an RN for 33 years having worked in a wide variety of medical positions, to include most recently being the clinical nurse at the United States Embassy in London England. As a Foreign Service Medical Practitioner, Colleen assisted with the medevac emergency program for over 140 U.S. Diplomatic Establishments. In addition, Colleen’s experiences include working in the hospital setting and as a school nurse.
Colleen and her husband John have been blessed with four beautiful children. Colleen believes in the concept of holistic health and balancing one’s life by spending quality time with family, faith, proper nutrition and intellectual endeavors such as reading and learning about other cultures by traveling to remote foreign lands. Colleen’s most recent travel included visiting Istanbul, Turkey, Bangkok, Thailand, and one of her favorite countries, Venice, Italy.
Shana works as a medical assistant at Genesis Pediatric Medicine. She offers a broad skill set gained from 16 years of clinical and administrative experience in Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Shana also functions as the practice’s vaccine coordinator under the guidance of Dr. Regnier.
As the granddaughter of a pastor, Shana grew up in a family that practiced the values and beliefs her grandfather preached at his church and lived in his everyday life. Treating her neighbors as herself, Shana enjoys helping our patients and their families feel well-cared-for, at ease and valued. She is a gentle and compassionate person who believes the world would benefit from more love, kindness and selflessness.
Shana suggests the blessings of parenthood can be best experienced by trusting your heart and God-given instincts. Shana is married and the mother of three boys. Her family enjoys outdoor vacations that include camping, hiking and fishing.
