Our Pediatric Providers

Mark Regnier M.D. has practiced pediatric medicine since 1998. He is passionate about being a good listener, an effective communicator, an avid learner and an advocate for his patient’s health and well-being.

Dr. Regnier has served on Delnor Hospital’s Medical Informatics Committee (a guiding body that generates hospital wide clinical protocols) and is strongly committed to evidence-based medicine. He is also a known advocate for the Medical Home, having worked with the American Academy of Pediatrics on an initiative to establish strategies to help pediatric practices implement the Medical Home model.

Dr. Regnier was awarded Delnor Hospital’s physician of the year for patient satisfaction in 2004 and nursing satisfaction in 2005. He is also a People’s Choice Award recognized physician.

Dr. Regnier graduated from Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine in 1995 as a member of the medical honors society. He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Loyola University Medical Center in 1998. He is board certified and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Ken Kwiatkowski DO is an experienced physician who believes that being a pediatrician is a privilege and responsibility that he takes very seriously and enjoys. He hopes this perspective is revealed both to his patients and their parents.

Shaped by his upbringing with loving and hardworking parents and an influential grandmother, Dr. Ken is most proud of his accomplishment of being a father. He believes that parenting is about common sense and listening. He recommends cherishing each day of parenthood by being patient and supportive as childhood passes much too quickly.

Dr. Ken’s professional perspectives have been shaped by his experiences as an attending physician in the emergency room, neonatal and pediatric intensive care settings, as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Midwest University, as a member of many hospital committees, as an employed physician within a large health system, and most importantly as a private, independent pediatrician for greater than 20 years.

Dr. Ken enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His interests include history, museums, music (Strauss and Wagner, and swing), classical writings (including Poe, Hemingway, and Shakespeare), auto racing, zoos, barbecues, and eating pizza. Dr. Ken’s favorite childhood moment was sitting underneath the score board at Tiger’s stadium in Detroit with his father during the 1968 World Series.

Interestingly, Dr. Ken is a former baritone who sang in the Niles College Choir in 1979 for Pope John Paul the 2nd at St. Peter’s Church, Chicago.
