Our staff is a highly valued resource at Genesis Pediatric Medicine. Each member has been carefully chosen for their personal gifts, talents and experience. Our culture encourages personal and professional growth to provide a more satisfying work environment. In return, we expect a wholehearted commitment to our patients and absolute accountability for their care. Each staff member understands the importance of their role and its contribution to our overall commitment to provide quality healthcare and service.


Our Pediatric Providers

Mark Regnier M.D. is a board-certified pediatrician with over 25 years of experience in general pediatric medicine. He graduated from Loyola University’s Stritch School of Medicine as a member of the medical honors society. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the Loyola University Medical Center.

Dr. Regnier enjoys caring for all ages and conditions across the pediatric spectrum. He is passionate about being a good listener, an effective communicator, an avid learner, and an advocate for his patient’s health and well-being.

Dr. Regnier is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He has been awarded Delnor Hospital’s physician of the year for both patient and nursing satisfaction. He is also a People’s Choice Award recognized physician.

Dr. Regnier likes to make things, work on projects, sports, and race in the street stock division at the Sycamore Speedway. He is happily married and the father of two.


Tracy Saladar, DNP, CPNP-PC, PMHS is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She received her doctorate in pediatric primary care from Concordia University. Prior to becoming a pediatric provider, she cared for patients as a nurse in a school setting and a neonatal intensive care unit.

Dr. Saladar works part time at Genesis Pediatric Medicine while serving full time as the director of the pediatric nurse practitioner program at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She oversees, directs, teaches, trains, and mentors future pediatric nurse practitioners. As a pediatric provider, she is passionate about learning, teaching, advocating for and guiding the health and well-being of her patients and their families. She particularly enjoys caring for adolescents.

Given a need, Dr. Saladar started a pediatric health clinic in Wisconsin for the underserved. She volunteers her time domestically and internationally throughout the year. She is socially minded, kind, caring, and empathic. She is happily married and a proud mother of four.


Jennifer Junck, DNP, CPNP-PC is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner. She received her doctorate in pediatric primary care from RUSH University. Prior to becoming a pediatric provider, she cared for patients as a nurse in various settings including a Washington D.C. based homeless shelter, a multidisciplinary pediatric floor in Michigan, and as a pediatric home health nurse. She recently served our community during the Covid epidemic as the director of the Dekalb County Health Department’s Covid response team.

Dr. Junck works part time at Genesis Pediatric Medicine while serving full time as a mother of three. She is happily married to a Sycamore-based oral surgeon. She has a special interest in breast feeding and loves caring for babies. She values getting to know her patients, their families, and continuity of care.

Dr. Junck approaches life with an open mind, a humble heart, and a smile on her face. She maintains a kid-like spirit balanced with maturity and experience. She encourages parents to focus on the positive as the days may be long however the years are short.


Jessa Leslie, MSN, RN, CPNP-PC is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner (PNP). She earned her master’s degree from the University of South Alabama. Prior to becoming a pediatric provider, Jessa cared for patients as a nurse in an outpatient setting and then in a neonatal intensive care unit. Since becoming a nurse practitioner, she has cared for pediatric patients in a community emergency room, a children’s hospital emergency room, and in pediatric urgent care settings for over a decade. She is a volunteer for the make-a-wish foundation as a wish granter.

Jessa works part time at Genesis Pediatric Medicine. She is happily married and the mother of 3 young adults. She actively works toward achieving personal health and happiness while balancing her desire to care for well, sick, and injured children and adolescents.

Jessa is fulfilled by her family, her dogs, reading, running, and enjoying lake life. She loves being a pediatric provider. She encourages parents to enjoy each stage as the days are long and the years are short.


In Retirement

Dr. Ken Kwiatkowski has retired after caring for patients at Genesis Pediatric Medicine for almost 5 years and serving as a pediatrician in various settings for almost 4 decades. We are thankful for his contributions. We hope he enjoys his new found time with his family, his hobbies, and various other life pursuits.


Our Practice Leadership

Kerry Regnier, MPH, RD, LDN is a Registered Dietitian, with training in both pediatric and adult nutrition. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin at Steven’s Point in dietetics and earned her master’s degree in Public Health at Northern Illinois University.

Kerry has worked in a number of settings including Loyola University’s Medical Center, Illinois Nutrition Education and Training Program (in Sycamore) and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) in Chicago. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Northern Illinois University where she taught senior dietetics students.

Kerry is a faculty and board member of the Ellyn Satter Institute, where she works with families to navigate the murky waters of raising competent eaters.

As our Practice Administrator, Kerry works collaboratively with our staff to maintain a culture focused on quality, evidence-based care and customer service that strives to exceed our patient’s expectations.

Kerry is married with two adult children. She enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, hiking, and taking in a ball game.
